Creative Director

Job purpose:
SevenC3’s Creative Director is a key member of the Senior Leadership team, helping to set and implement our strategic objectives.
Responsible for leading and managing the creative community across the business, (s)he is the champion and custodian of creative quality and innovation across 20+ accounts in both the B2B and Consumer space. 
A trusted creative advisor to senior stakeholders within our client brands, the Creative Director will help to grow business from existing accounts and also shape and deliver best-in-class pitches and proposals both in the UK and across our international network
Key Responsibilities:
We're looking for an outstanding Executive Creative Director to help drive multi-channel and emerging channel creative ideation & strategy.

This creative problem solver must have the ability to quickly identify, address and incorporate emerging trends into creative strategic development, as well as the ability to practically provide solutions that work both within tight budgets and at practical executional level.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record and a breadth-of-experience ranging from creative print solutions through to moving image, which demonstrates their outstanding creative diversity and ability to mould around any subject matter thrown at them.

This individual will have a strong background in inspiring storytelling and
possess the ability to:
- Comfortably and persuasively present comprehensive concepts, to Senior Leaders and key decision makers.
- Explore and shape creative ideas and align them with strategic brand goals
- Work alongside marketing & strategy teams to interpret briefs and support/enable the best work
- Participate in strategic planning sessions regarding client and new business projects, programs and campaigns
- Encourage and grow digital transformation in all areas of delivery
Key elements of the role:
1. Lead and manage the creative community at SevenC3
  • Inspire, support, and motivate the creative teams at SevenC3 to always deliver their best and most effective work
  • Work with our People Team to deliver a motivating approach to career development
  • Review our creative talent and make recommendations for training, development and new hires if there are talent gaps
  • Use your network of freelance creative talent (photographers, artists, videographers, designers etc) to add to our creative network
2. Help us win high quality new business
  • Use your unique combination of digital, content and brand comms expertise to help us win higher calibre, more profitable business.
  • Work collaboratively and positively in a team with the Strategy Lead and Client Services Lead to deliver a winning response to New Biz briefs.
C3 network
  • Get involved in big international pitches when called upon by our network partners, especially in Germany but also across Europe and in the US.
  • Use your unique background of brand communications combined with digital content marketing, to help them win new kinds of business and clients.
  • Advice and mentor creative teams in other territories to help them compete with new rivals in their market, such as advertising, media and PR agencies
3. Raise the Creative Bar
  • Use your unique set of skills to help the creative teams in Seven C3’s Consumer and Business divisions to improve the quality of their output, to do more effective, more original, more expert work.
  • Bring ahead of the curve tech-enabled creative ideas to the table, always pushing the boundaries of what is possible
  • Share your past experience working on high-profile brand content and campaigns to inspire these teams, and broaden their horizons
4. Nurture Senior Client Relationships
  • Develop and maintain discreet relationships with all of our Senior Clients
  • Act as an ‘impartial’ strategic creative sounding board to help elevate agency relationships to strategic partner level
  • Embody Seven’s values: accountability, initiative, innovation, appreciation, passion and collaboration
  • To adhere to and promote Seven’s environmental management and sustainability objectives.
  •  Any other ad hoc duties that may be assigned from time to time.
  • At least 10 years of senior-level experience in creating outstanding brand communications for Tier One brands.
  • An impressive track record of employing creative communications to help brands succeed, grow and be more profitable
  • A boundless knowledge of every aspect of brand communications, from TV advertising, press and outdoor, to content for social platforms, experiential and brand channels.
  • A passion for, and expertise in, all things digital. Not limited to a keen understanding of the audiences in each potential marketing channel, their behavior and expectations.
  • An ever-evolving and up-to-the-minute knowledge of the functionality and role of digital channels and social platforms
  • A brilliant grasp of content marketing and its potential to play a revolutionary role in brand communications
  • A talent for hiring, managing and motivating creative teams, in good times and bad.
  • Ability to work well within teams of different disciplines – editorial, strategy, digital, account management, commercial, new business
  • Fantastic people skills. Able to build a trusted and fruitful working relationship with clients and colleagues.
  • Can act as a creative ambassador for the company, representing Seven to clients and the industry
  • Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and to work consistently and efficiently with a busy staff under tight deadlines
  • Willingness to learn, adapt and evolve as the creative landscape changes – embracing moving and still image project work.
